REQUEST

Kinderwoud is a large childcare organization in Friesland, the Netherlands. Because of its 50th anniversary, Kinderwoud Childcare wants to organize an anniversary conference for its relations. Novella – theworldcafe is asked to think along and organize a dynamic meeting together with Kinderwoud in the Thialf Stadium in Heerenveen. Relations are expected from education, municipalities and other collaborating organizations.

EXECUTION

More than 120 participants from education, municipalities and other collaborating organisations hear how director Vanessa Weever offers children good development opportunities. “We have fully incorporated playful learning, exercise, music and healthy nutrition, which all contribute to the development of the brain, into our activity programme,” says Weever. Two speakers, Stefan van der Pal and Jeannette Welp, each give an inspiring contribution on these themes.

THEMES

During the afternoon, a short World Café session will be held. Jeannette Welp introduces the dialogue and asks participants at the round tables to dream together about: ‘How cool would it be if everything were possible. Think of a project together to bring children in Friesland to better health through exercise, nutrition or music.’ Three questions help shape the dialogue: What? For whom? By whom? The afternoon will be concluded with a hilarious wrap-up by Alphons and a drink!
