World Cafe LEGO® Serious Play® is a powerful methodology enabling sharing and developing

World Cafe LEGO Serious Play is a unique methodology used to actually build on collaboration and change.The participants add images and stories to the dialogue they form within the World Cafe. These images and stories arise from the collaborative creation using LEGO. This leads to the rapid realization of the essence of what is being built.

Every World Cafe LEGO Serious Play session starts with an interactive session that leads to each individual participant learning to trust that that what our hands build with LEGO will unlock valuable information from our unconscious brain. During three rounds we collectively explore the theme of each respective table to finally build one LEGO structure per table.

Visualization and the sharing of stories makes this session extremely valuable and creates a sense of pride and awareness of the fact that that we all need each other. Be it in working together, team development or any other issues. The texts on the tablecloths together with the jointly built LEGO structure provide an enticing invitation to create tangible next steps.

LEGO Serious Play was developped by LEGO as a strategic intervention for organizations. Wiro Kuipers was one of the first facilitators in The Netherlands. The combination of World Cafe and LEGO Serious Play makes it an extremely powerful methodology.
