BESIX: international Leadership Meeting Client Centricity
16 November 2016
REQUEST
For the leadership of BESIX we are developing and organizing an international meeting with the theme: Client Centricity. The program is in line with the current development program and aims to create new ideas based on Client Centricity. Together with BESIX Novella develops the full conference and one part of the program includes the World Cafe. The participant groups consist of many leaders from The Netherlands, Belgium and Dubai and at the same time a number of clients/relations also partake in the conference. The conference is held in Gent, Belgium.
IMPLEMENTATION
The morning is opened by Professor Marion Debruine, Dean of the Vlerick business school. The moderator, Rick Koster, gives an inspiring keynote speech about leadership, followership, trends and how people change. The program is complemented by Paul Smit with his humor and new insights on the (unconscious) human brain. Following the introductions the participants start a dialogue with each other in order to investigate how they can collaborate with each other in a better way. A lively dialogue starts at the round tables and by switching tables during the World Cafe everyone gets to chat with everyone, ensuring for diversity.
TANGIBLE IDEAS
The World Cafe is preceded by the program BESIX Client Challenge. The participants are challenged to, with the acquired knowledge from the World Cafe, form tangible ideas. This program takes place in smaller groups. The “Value Proposition Canvas”– an important tool used in the development of products and services – is used. The essence of the Value Proposition Canvas is based on the wishes of the customer. Each group presents its idea at the end of the session.
The meeting, in short:
An energetic and interesting day for BESIX, experienced as extremely valuable by the participants. BESIX is an internationally operating Belgian construction company, also based in The Netherlands. The meeting took place in the inspiring environment of Oude Vismijn in Gent, Belgium.
A few comments form participants:
The session about the brain was very exciting. Very interesting presentations with striking examples and good fun as well.
