New Year’s Get-together Municipality Leeuwarden:

REQUEST
The Municipality of Leewarden wants to present its new annual planning and goals regarding the Shared Service Center at the 2018 New Year’s gathering. The ultimate goal is to become the best Shared Service Center for all the governements of North Netherlands. During the World Cafe the ± 300 employees will bundle their thoughts on how to increase the services rendered in order to realize their ambition.
IMPLEMENTATION
The World Cafe is opened by the Director SSC who presents the history of the SSC which started in 2015. Large growth was realized an a short period of time, especially in the external services rendered and the new ways of services rendered. In order to realize the ambition presented, the employees will put their heads together in a World Cafe. As an introduction, Paul Smit gives his keynote speech about what the effect of change and ambition can have on the human brain.
THEMES
Formulating an ambition is one aspect, realizing it is another. Management states three important themes: customer service, collaboration, renewal.
During a dynamic World Cafe the participants form a dialogue with each other based on these themes. All tablecloths were transcribed by the hosts after which the MT further analyzed and processed the content.
The New Year’s gathering, in short:
The client opted for a World Cafe due to the fact that the ambition can only rbe ealized if everyone actually works on it. The introduction by the director and the four videos, including Paul Smit’s inspiring story, provided the inpsiration necessary to get the dialogue started. The great involvement and the possibility to think along with everybody led to a very successful World Cafe session.
The collaboration with Novella was extremely professional and enjoyable. A great characteristic of their way of working is their open an fast communication, pro-activity and excellent organization. We can look back on a very successful evening!
