NHTV: conference Cities in Transition

REQUEST
As a knowledge institute, NHTV has a great deal of expertise in-house on the theme of urban development. The assignment: Organize a two-day conference with international speakers, in which the expertise of the NHTV is shown in an even better light and the participants can network intensively with each other. Novella developed the program in co-creation with the NHTV and is responsible for the executing. Dialogue and learning from each other are paramount.
EXECUTION
During the first day in the Chassé theater in Breda all participants are seated in various compositions around round tables. The moderator, Rick Koster, introduces a few speakers from, amongst others, China and Spain. His own introduction puts the participants in the right mindset for the World Cafe. The official language for the two days is English and there are translators for the Chinese delegation.
THE TWO-DAY SESSION
The following themes are discussed during the World Cafe: technology, sustainability, meaningful experiences. The World Cafe proves to be the perfect methodology during these two days in ensuring a real connection between the participants. The program of day 2 fits in perfectly with the results of day 1. Participants can also attend various special workshops and masterclasses that are held at the location of the NHTV.

It was very satisfying to organize this congress in co-creation with the NHTV. We received a lot of positive feedback from the participants, especially about the World Cafe and the variation between listening to others and sharing your own knowledge.
